Introduction
There are currently over 65% of all Ether which are vulnerable to a quantum attack1, and this number has been continuously increasing. This is a significantly larger percentage than the 25% we found for the Bitcoin blockchain in a previous analysis2. Many other cryptocurrencies are using ECDSA in their blockchain systems so the total damage would be much higher. There are no exact numbers on the damage as of today but it can be easily calculated by checking the number of quantum unsafe cryptocurrencies and getting their marketcaps.
